Rithvik was born in Madhya Pradesh on 5th November 1988 in a Sindhi family. They moved to Dubai soon after he was born. He has a sister named Heena. Dhanjani has completed his schooling in Dubai and graduated from London College. He was into acting, modeling, and hosting shows in his college days. Later he got involved in theatre for nearly two years. After doing theatre and events in Dubai, he planned to shift to Mumbai to become an actor. To become an actor he did an acting course at the Kishore Namit Kapoor Institute.
The name of his father’s name is Chandra Prakash Dhanjani and his mother’s name is not known. They both are from Hindu families. So his religion is Hinduism according to his birth. Dhanjani began his acting career with a cameo in Bandini, where he played Parth, a negative character. However, his big break came in Pyaar Kii ye ek Kahani where he played the antagonist, Jay Khurana, who was a werewolf and in love with the female protagonist. Later he played the lead role as Arjun Digvijay Kirloskar in the Balaji Telefilms show Pavitra Rishta opposite Asha Negi. He was also seen in the Teen ka Tadka episode of Jhalak Dikhla Jaa 6.
In 2013, he hosted a show, Yeh hai Aashiqui, from which he gained popularity. He also participated in Nach Baliye 6 with partner Asha Negi. He has also participated in several shows like Khatro Ke Khiladi.
