EARLY LIFE –
David Cameron was born on October 9, 1966 in Marylebone , London, England and raised in Peasemore, Berkshire. He is a descendant of King William IV , received a quality education and excelled in his studies at a young age. David is younger son of Ian Donald Cameron , who was a stockbroker and died near Toulon , France, on 8 September 2010. David’s mother Mary Fleur, was a retired Justice of the Peace. His parents were married on 20 October 1962. His brother Alexander Cameron (born on 1963 ) was a barrister and two sisters Tania Rachel ( born on 1965 ) and Clare Louise ( born on 1971 ).
He was educated at two independent schools at the age of 7, Heatherdown School in Winkfield ( near Ascot ) in Berkshire , which counts Prince Andrew and Prince Edward among its old boys. Due to good grades, Cameron entered its top academic class almost two years early. At the age of 13, he went on to Eton College in Berkshire. He obtained three ‘ A ‘ grades and a ‘ 1 ‘ grade in the Scholarship Level exam in Economics and Politics. He passed the entrance exam for the University of Oxford, and was offered an exhibition at Brasenose College.
CAREER –
After leaving Eton in 1984, Cameron started a nine-month gap year. For three months he worked as a researcher for his godfather Tim Rathbone , then Conservative MP for Lewes , during which time he attended debates in the House of Commons . Through his father, he was then employed for a further three months in Hong Kong by Jardine Matheson as a ‘ship jumper’, an administrative post.
Once he became head of Britain’s Conservative party , Cameron sought to modernize it and shed its right-wing image. Dazzling the party and the populace with his bold eloquence, Cameron positioned his party well for the general election of 2010, and when Gordon Brown resigned as prime minister, Cameron replaced him. Cameron and his party won the general elections of 2015, with Conservatives thus having a substantial majority in the House of Commons. On 7 May 2015, Cameron was re-elected UK Prime Minister with a majority in the Commons.
The Conservative Party’s decisive win in the general election was as a surprise victory, as most polls and commentators predicted the outcome would be too close to call and result in a second hung parliament. In response to the November 2015 Paris attacks, Cameron secured the support of the House of Commons to extend air strikes against ISIS into Syria.

On 24 June 2016, Cameron announced that he would step down as Prime Minister in October 2016 at the Conservative Party Conference to make way for a new Prime Minister to guide the UK in the new direction for the country. Camron said he will step down from his role and a new UK leader will be appointed by October this year.
According to the speech, he said that he ” loved this country ” and those who had voted Remain must now work with the rest of the population to ensure the transition was smooth. “Good morning everyone, the country has just taken part in a giant democratic exercise, perhaps the biggest in our history,” said Mr Cameron, speaking outside Number 10 with his wife, Samantha Cameron, at his side. “Over 33 million people from England, Scotland , Wales, Northern Ireland and Gibraltar have all had their say. “We should be proud of the fact that in these islands we trust the people for these big decisions. “We not only have a parliamentary democracy, but on questions about the arrangements for how we’ve governed there are times when it is right to ask the people themselves and that is what we have done.”
