Jimmy Shergill (Birth name Jasjit Singh Gill was born on December 3, 1970 into a Sikh family in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. His father is Satyajit Singh Shergill and he is a Painter. Satyajit Singh Shergill (Frankie) is the nephew of renowned painter Amrita Sher-Gil. He studied in St. Paul’s School, Lucknow for some years and then shifted to his ancestral place in Punjab. There he joined The Punjab Public School, Nabha and Bikram College, Punjabi University, Patiala. Later, he learnt acting from Sri Harpal Singh and then moved to Mumbai to work in the entertainment industry.
