Its a competitive cooking show.The format of the show is there are large number of contestants and they have to light with each other in various rounds. After crossing all the rounds they got selected in top 12.
After selecting first 12 contestant the actual competition will began. Then the remaining 12 contestants fight with each other by making dishes.The prize of the show is own cookery show and also they got the chance to have their own cook book. and cash prize is Rs. 1000000.Season 1 brodcast in 16 oct 2010 and aired on star plus. only on Saturday and Sunday.

Mr. Sanjeev Kapoor is a judge of the show. Vikas Khanna and Ranveer barar will also join him . We all know chef Mr. Sanjeev Kapoor, he is the main part of the show. without him show is incomplete.
All the three judges taste the dishes of the contestants and then start doing elimination process.
Last season was for vegetarian. last season no one make non vegetarian because of the concept.
Last season winner of Master Chef is Nikita Kapoor. She is the youngest girl who got this title in mater chef history. She is from dubai.
